Good morning!
The summer is winding down. Kids are headed back to school. People are enjoying last minute trips to the beach and mountains. For most employees, however, there are still concerns about the economy in the back of their minds.
Will the markets continue to go up or are we headed for more declines? How high will interest rates rise? Are we in a recession? How will this affect me?
When it comes to investing, we can’t control what the market does, but we can help employees make good financial decisions and prepare for the future. I believe it all starts with education. The more employees understand about their finances and financial topics in general, the less stress and uncertainty they feel.
We’ll be starting another round of employee education webinars in two weeks. In these webinars, I’ll be covering topics like budgeting, basic investing, taxes, and estate planning. We’ll also be bringing in outside experts to cover some of these areas in more detail for those who want to learn more. The webinars are always voluntary, and we’ll record them so anyone who can’t attend live can watch the replay when their schedule permits.
Employee education is extremely important, but so is fiduciary education. We will always discuss fiduciary issues in our review meetings, but I encourage you to scan the articles we include in this email. We try to only bring information to you that we think you will find valuable.
I hope you enjoy the last few days of summer. We love to hear from you, so if there is anything we can do to further help you or your employees, please don’t hesitate to ask.
Sincerely,
Grant Ellis, AIF® | Managing Principal
